Vlogging is the New Black (Vlog #1)

Make what you know.

As a writer, everybody always tells you to write what you know. Well, I recently decided to make this the policy for my crafting career as well. I’m still painting, don’t worry. I think I’ll always paint. And I’ll always be willing to sell the paintings.

But these days it’s pretty hard to sell expensive art, and I’ve been trying to figure out a craft of mine (I have more than I should) that I could make and charge less for. The way I see it, what you charge has to be able how much time you spend on an item.

With all of this in mind, I’ve decided to make what I know, and one of the materials that I have been working with for a LONG time is duct tape. I have just now launched my official Duct Tape Flower Co. on Etsy, and I’m really excited about it. Who knows? I may even go hang out in the parks now that it’s getting warmer and be the crazy flower lady.

Here’s the shameless self-promotion part. If you’d like any custom arrangements don’t hesitate to let me know. The flowers have turned out really classy looking, and, they’ll never die like real flowers. For that matter, they aren’t trying to pretend they’re real flowers like artificial flowers either.

Hop on over. Check out my Etsy page. Now back to making flowers.
